Annular solar eclipse on January 15th 2010. Solar eclipse is phenomenon when sun and moon lie at the same line till certain point of time and moon shadow appears. One most interesting incident happen which is ‘Ring of fire’, actually when moon shadow is smaller compared to sun appears that looks like moon shadow makes a ring of fire.

On 15 JAN 2010 clear vision of ‘Ring of fire’ at Dhanushkodi near Rameshweram in Tamil Nadu southern part of India. The longest solar eclipse appear on land at dhanushkodi, it is 10 minutes and 24 seconds duration.

Maximum duration 11 minutes, 07.7 seconds of annular solar eclipse will appear on Indian ocean 1.6238° N, 69.2921° E.

Solar eclipse start traveling from Chad, Central African Republic and continues its travel through the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Kenya, and Somalia and reach to Indian Ocean. In Asia, the moon shadow passes through south India, Srilanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar and China.
